Dungeon23 and the Northern Marklands

Dungeon23 was a project and challenge where you created one room of a dungeon every day, eventually ending up with a 12-level dungeon of about 30 rooms each.  I went the extra mile, and split the work to make a 10-level dungeon, a home base, and a wilderness in the style of classic campaigns.  This material was made with Original, or B/X versions of the game and their simulacra in mind.

Any future material related to the Northern Marklands will also be placed here.

 

·         The Temple of the Snake Cult: A 10-level dungeon that takes players from an abandoned and haunted cult stronghold to an underground city of snake men, the sandbox-like, depths of the earth, an alien “egg,” and the deep, super-science secrets of the “wyrld.”

·         The City of Alkastra: A home base and seedy city for groups exploring the Temple of the Snake Cult.

·         The Northern Marklands: A wilderness “sandbox” for groups that get bored of dungeon-delving, or are ready to establish their strongholds.

·         Dungeon23 Monsters: A few monster articles I created for Dungeon 23.

·         Dungeon23 Lore: Fluffy articles that flesh out the Northern Marklands setting and “wyrld.”

·         The Royal Barrows: A mini-dungeon in Hex 1815 of the wilderness map, set in a haunted, multi-level barrow, where players can aid the restless spirits of the mighty King Cyneric and his family.
